Amy is a certified medical illustrator based in New York, NY. She received a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. After spending two years in children's publishing, she pursued an MA in Medical and Biological Illustration at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

For 4 years Amy worked as an instructional designer at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where she collaborated with faculty to develop illustrations, PowerPoint animations and e-learning materials for classroom use. Additionally, she partnered with researchers to develop illustrations for their published work.
